Siblings first and co-Founders second, Owen (18) and Ava (21) have always been two curious kids with big appetites. Born-and-raised in Chicago, we grew up exploring the best restaurants and flavors the city had to offer. Whether we’re grabbing a slice of deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s or waiting in line for Michelin-rated breakfast sandwiches at Kasama, food has always been about connection and discovery for our family. Hence–it’s no surprise that Feed was born at a family dinner. While traveling through a new city during winter vacation, we felt let down by anonymous Yelp reviews and inauthentic TikTok recommendations in our quest for a decent dinner reservation. Instead, we relied on a family friend to recommend a wildly charming hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant. While slurping down bowls of spaghetti, the dinner became our first brainstorming session–imagining a product which allowed foodies to easily access recommendations from their most trusted sources–their family and friends.
